Terms of Competition

 

 

1. The competition will be played over 72 holes of scratch stroke play and is governed by the rules of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club in conjunction with the local rules of Lindrick GC and Worksop GC.
    
2. In the event of a tie for first place, a sudden death playoff will be held over holes to be decided by the Tournament Committee. Other ties will be settled by countback over the last 18, 9, 6, 3 and 1 holes.
    
3. The Tournament Committee shall have the power to accept or refuse any entry to the event at its sole discretion and shall not be required to provide its reasoning for any entry so accepted or refused.
    
4. A competitor is not permitted to withdraw at any stage of the event except for emergency reasons or medical circumstances, which must be explained to and deemed acceptable by the Tournament Committee. A competitor breaching this regulation will not be permitted to participate in the event in future years.
    
5. The use of ride-on buggies is not permitted for competitors unless they are able to provide a valid medical certificate. The use of ride-on buggies for caddies is expressly prohibited in all cases.
    
6. Practice rounds for competitors only are available the week prior to the event at a cost of £40 per person and should be booked via the respective Professional's shop at Lindrick GC or Worksop GC.
    
7. No refunds shall be given for withdrawals after the published closing date for entries.
    
8. All disputes shall be referred to the Tournament Committee whose decision shall be final.
