Tournament Format & Entry Criteria
The Competition
The Danny Willett Slver is a World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) 72 hole stroke play competition played over two days. The first 36 holes are played at Worksop GC with the final 36 holes played at Lindrick GC. There is no cut and all competitors are expected to complete all 72 holes.
Entry Criteria
The tournament is open to all male amateur golfers of any nationality whose WHS Handicap Index does not exceed THREE (3.4). Applicants with a WHS Handicap Index exceeding THREE (3.4) on the date of entry will not be accepted.
The field will be limited to 72 players. If the event is oversubscribed, places in the starting field will be allocated in the following order.
- Up to 4 invitations at the discretion of the Tournament Committee
- Entrants with a WAGR ranking in the top 1500 at the closing date, with priority given to those with the highest ranking
- The lowest handicap entrants not otherwise exempt. Entrants in this category will be vetted in accordance with the handicap validation policy. The final decision to accept/reject any entry lies with the Tournament Committee whose decision shall be final. The Tournament Committee shall not be bound to give a reason for acceptance/rejection of any entry.
A reserve list will be published with the draw.
